These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Internet Court ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Internet Court iOS application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
To access most features of Internet Court, you must create an account. You may sign up using Sign in with Apple or by providing an email address and username.
Internet Court is a platform for community-submitted disputes and votes. You may submit case descriptions, comments, and other content ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:
Grant us a license: You grant Internet Court a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
Represent and warrant that:
Prohibited Content: You must not submit content that:
All case submissions are reviewed by our AI moderation system before being published. We reserve the right — but not the obligation — to review, edit, refuse, or remove any User Content at any time, for any reason, without notice to you.
If your content is removed or your account is suspended, you may contact us at support@theinternetcourt.app to appeal the decision. We will review appeals on a case-by-case basis but are not obligated to reverse our moderation decisions.
Repeated violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines will result in permanent account termination.
Internet Court offers an optional paid subscription called Internet Court Premium.
Subscription Details:
Premium Benefits: Premium subscribers receive an ad-free experience, a Premium profile badge, exclusive juror themes, and any other features we designate as Premium from time to time. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove Premium benefits with reasonable notice.
Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. For App Store refunds, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The Internet Court name, logo, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Service (excluding User Content) are owned by Internet Court and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our prior written consent.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Internet Court is an entertainment and social opinion platform. Verdicts rendered by users are not legal advice, not binding, and carry no legal weight. Any resemblance of a case result to an actual legal outcome is coincidental. Do not rely on Internet Court verdicts for legal, medical, financial, or other professional decisions.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERNET COURT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
IN PARTICULAR, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY USER-GENERATED CONTENT POSTED ON THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE WERE NOTIFIED OF ITS EXISTENCE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $10 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Internet Court and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. We may terminate accounts of users we determine to be under 13 without notice.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, harmful conduct toward other users, or extended inactivity.
You may delete your account at any time through the app. Deletion of your account terminates your right to use the Service but does not automatically delete all associated content (see our Privacy Policy for data retention details).
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
